The Rizta finally launches after numerous spy shots and test mules spotted testing. Aether looks to capture the “family scooter” oriented space in the market. Aether has launched the Rizta in 3 variants with 2 battery packs to choose from. The Aether Rizta S comes in at ₹1.1 lakh while the ‘Z’ variant comes in at ₹1.25 lakh equipped with a 2.9 kWh battery. The Rizta Z is also available with a larger 3.7 kWh battery at ₹1.45 lakh.

The Rizta is dressed in Aether’s minimalist and clean design language. The scooter has a flat single piece seat, which Aether claims is the longest amongst scooters in India. A large grab handle at the rear along with a backrest which is standard on the top variant and optional otherwise add function to the design. A spacious floorboard and wide front panels are in tune with the family scooter blueprint. While the scooter does look spacious and practical, it does look slightly over blown at the rear.

Where the slightly disproportionate design scores points is in the practicality department. The Rizta boasts of a 34-litre under seat storage and 22-litre “frunk” which is an optional accessory. The large seat also ensures both rider and pillion are seated in comfort.

The Rizta packs a whole load of features such as riding modes, traction control, reverse mode and a Fall Safe feature that automatically shuts off the motor in the event of the scooter falling. A 7-inch colour TFT display enables Bluetooth connectivity, navigation along with WhatsApp alerts and more.

Aether has equipped the Rizta with telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear and the EV continues to ride on 12-inch wheels wrapped in MRF rubber. Aether claims the Rizta’s 2.9 kWh battery will do 123km on a full charge and the larger 3.7 kWh battery, 160km. The top speed is 80 kph and the scooter is also IP67 rated along with an impressive 400mm water wading ability (all set for river crossings eh?)
