After revealing the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure (R and X models), KTM has further revealed its smallest ADV, the 2025 KTM 250 Adventure. Like the latest-generation 250 Duke, the 250 Adventure is powered by the 249.07cc LC4c DOHC engine, which produces 31 hp @ 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm of torque @ 7,250 rpm.
The 250 Adventure shares many underpinnings with the bigger 390 Adventure X. It features a two-piece trellis frame suspended on a WP APEX setup. The front gets a 43 mm non-adjustable fork with 200 mm of travel, complemented by a preload-adjustable rear shock with 205 mm of travel. And with a seat height of 825 mm, this ADV will likely be less intimidating for newer riders.
Like the 390 Adventure X, it rides on 19/17-inch wheels and features a similar braking setup with 320 mm front and 240 mm rear discs paired with switchable ABS. The 250 Adventure also gets ride-by-wire, a bi-directional quickshifter, and a 5-inch TFT display. However, the smaller engine and other minor differences help the 250 Adventure shave off 5 kg compared to the 390 Adventure.
In terms of design, the 250 Adventure gets the same treatment as the bigger 390 Adventure bikes. It gets a rally-inspired instrument tower, more prominent side cowls, a raised front fender, and a sleeker tail. And unlike the outgoing 250 Adventure’s halogen headlight, the 2025 model now gets a projector unit instead.
In other words, the 250 Adventure no longer feels like a compromise machine you’d get when the 390s were a bit out of budget. Instead, this one will fit the bill for those wanting an easier-to-manage KTM ADV without compromising on features. KTM hasn’t revealed the prices yet, but expect a slight bump compared to the outgoing model, which was priced at ₹2.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
